Vuba VubaMac Technical Complete Guide

Pedestrian Traffic

VubaMac for pedestrian traffic is made up of 3 different layers to create an environmentally friendly "No Dig" base. Using Vuba's SRM, VubaMac Resin and waste aggregate with Vuba Resin Bound Surfacing as the surface course.

1

Resin Bound Surfacing

15mm depth - spread using a spazzle or sledge, finished using a steel trowel or power trowel.

2

SRM Top Layer

Structural Reinforcement Mesh provides structural skeleton to the system.

3

Urethane Binder Course

20mm depth - waste aggregate and VubaMac Binder spread with spazzle and finished using VubaMac roller.

4

Sub-Base

150mm depth of well compacted, non-frost susceptible Type 3 granular sub-base. Install in 2-3 layers, fully compacting each layer.

Vehicle Traffic

VubaMac for vehicle traffic is made up of 4 different layers, suitable for both vehicle and pedestrian use. SUDS compliant and suitable for Tree Root Protection Areas.

1

Resin Bound Surfacing

18mm depth - spread using a spazzle or sledge, finished using a steel trowel or power trowel.

2

SRM Top Layer

Structural Reinforcement Mesh top layer.

3

Urethane Binder Course

30mm depth - waste aggregates and VubaMac Binder.

4

SRM Base Layer

Additional structural reinforcement at base level.

5

Sub-Base

175mm depth of well compacted Type 3 granular sub-base.

Heavy Vehicle Traffic

VubaMac for heavy vehicle traffic is made up of 5 different layers, the most robust option for demanding commercial applications.

1

Resin Bound Surfacing

21mm depth - spread using a spazzle or sledge, finished using a steel trowel or power trowel.

2

SRM Double Top Layer

Two layers of Structural Reinforcement Mesh laid perpendicular for maximum strength.

3

Urethane Binder Course

33mm depth - waste aggregates and VubaMac Binder.

4

SRM Base Layer

Additional structural reinforcement at base level.

5

Sub-Base

225mm depth of well compacted Type 3 granular sub-base.

All VubaMac systems allow Resin Bound Surfacing to be laid onto an MOT base rather than traditional asphalt or concrete. They are SUDS compliant and suitable for Tree Root Protection Areas.
