Project Overview
This comprehensive project in Bradley, Staffordshire was commissioned by the family of an elderly homeowner in their 90s. The existing property had a poor, uneven surface that made it difficult and dangerous for the homeowner to walk safely around their home.
The Challenges
The property presented several challenges that needed addressing. The original path was only 600mm wide, making it difficult for elderly mobility. The existing surface was in poor condition, creating a trip hazard. Additionally, there was a leaning wall that posed a significant safety risk and needed to be replaced.
Our Solution
Working closely with the homeowners daughter and son, we designed a solution focused on safety, accessibility, and minimal maintenance. The family specifically requested a very low-maintenance finish that would serve their parent for years to come.

The Transformation
We installed high-quality tarmac surfaces throughout the front, side and back of the property, providing a smooth, even walking surface. The narrow 600mm path was significantly widened to improve accessibility for the elderly homeowner.
The dangerous leaning wall was removed and replaced with 46 metres of new, secure fencing. We also added gravel borders along the edges to provide a clean finish and assist with drainage.
The Result
The completed project has transformed this property into a safe, accessible space for the elderly homeowner. The smooth tarmac surfaces make walking easy and safe, while the new fencing provides security and looks great. The family now has peace of mind knowing their loved one can move around their home safely.
