Project Overview
This property near Westport Lake in Tunstall had limited parking with space for just one car. The homeowners needed to expand their driveway to accommodate three vehicles while maintaining an attractive appearance that complemented their home.
The Challenge
The existing thick retaining wall concrete could not be removed without destabilising the driveway structure. This required a creative solution that would allow us to maximise the usable space while working around this constraint.
Our Solution
We suggested a tasteful gravel trap border that served multiple purposes. This design allowed us to extend the tarmac right up to the edges while providing essential drainage. The gravel trap creates an attractive visual break between the smooth tarmac surface and the existing boundaries.
